Happy New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Well it's here. 2009. Yippee. 

We planned to ring in the new year in our traditional fashion. We watch the ball drop in Times Square at 10:00pm Phoenix time, then we go to bed. I know, pretty exciting. But we got caught up watching Heartbreak Ridge and missed the ball drop by a minute. Oh well, still went to bed. 2009 was going to show up regardless of whether we were up, so no biggie.

My parents are coming out for a visit so we've been cleaning like freakazoids (did I really just use that word). They'll be here for a month, so we finally decided to get some nice furniture for the bedroom so hopefully they'll like it and it will feel nice and homey. We just finished painting today. Three walls are painted in 'sandtrap'...fitting for us. The accent wall is painted in a color labeled 'chickory'. After painting the wall, I'm pretty sure the color should have been called 'baby's first poopy diahhrea', but that would not have sold as well. 

And hence, our new year has begun.
